Send a message if you're not feeling the new design. Some people have said it hurts their eyes but I think it's an improvement. Don't forget you can always change the colours of the website by switching the style in the top right corner.

Forgot to mention that I went to watch my friend Sam play in the GBPT main event held in Bristol. Surprisingly, there were quite a few US Pros playing in the event, including Jamie Gold, Antonio Esfandiairi, Phil Laak and Jennifer Tilly. They must have been sponsored, but strangely there were no logos to be seen.
I read today that Joe Beevers won the event, taking home under £90,000. Gala / Eurobet was guaranteeing £250,000+ first prize, and apparently half an hour in to the event they changed their mind and dropped the guarantee, which is pretty pathetic.

Apologies for the downtime yesterday, my web host shut down all my websites due a rogue script. Thankfully it's sorted now and normality can resume.
A new feature of the VentureAce.com blog is the ability to add comments. If you feel passionately about poker, join in the discussions and add your opinion.
Lastly, I would like to thank PokerHelper.com for supporting this site with an advertisement. Go check out their great poker site!

Who'd of thought that selling advertising on an established website like this one would be so difficult. Admittedly it's not very pretty, or very informative, but it has character.
I'm going to play poker for the first time in about 2 months this week, in an attempt to satellite in to the GBPT main event which is being held in Bristol. It's a £2,500 4 day event, starting on the 6th or 7th. There's also two preliminary tournaments in the day before. It would be rather fitting to win my first live event in my hometown.
