US Poker Sites

The following list contains poker rooms who are continuing to accept US players despite the online gaming legislation. These poker sites are allowing US citizens to freely deposit, withdraw and play online poker from inside the United States of America. Many of these US-friendly sites, such as PokerStars, have emphasised that the online gaming legislation does not impact on online poker.

  • PokerStars.com - 100% first time deposit bonus up to $50. Easily the best online poker room!

Here's PokerStars statement regarding US customers and the Online gaming legislation :-

"The United States Congress recently enacted the Safe Port Act which contains provisions relating to Internet gambling.

PokerStars has received extensive expert advice from within and outside the U.S. which concluded that these provisions do not alter the U.S. legal situation with respect to our offering of online poker games. Furthermore it is important to emphasize that the Act does not in any way prohibit you from playing online poker.

Therefore, our business continues as before - open to players worldwide including the US. You may play on our site as you did prior to the Act.

PokerStars believes that poker is a game of skill enjoyed by millions of players and we remain committed to providing you a safe and fun environment in which to play. We value your loyalty to PokerStars, and look forward to continuing to serve you with the best online poker experience, as we have for the past five years, six billion hands, and 40 million tournaments."

"As many people are well aware, the United States Congress recently passed legislation that aims to make it illegal for U.S. banks to process transactions related to online gaming."

"In the short term, we assure you that your online experience at Full Tilt Poker will not change. You will still be able to deposit and withdraw money from the site using the same methods and payment processors you have always used, and your money will remain completely safe and secure. We cannot predict how the online poker experience may change in the future, but we do not expect any immediate impact from the legislation, as the banking industry has 270 days to implement new rules after the bill is signed."

"The new law does not change the legality of playing online games. The law does not impact people who play games from their computers. Instead, the law focuses on the payment processing of unlawful Internet gaming."

Some other smaller online poker rooms have also said they will continue to accept US players for the time being, however I'd stick with the larger US-friendly poker rooms mentioned above.
