Jan Boubli

Jan Boubli won the European Poker Tour event in Barcelona, scooping over €400,000 for his 1st position. This was not the only six-figure score in his poker career, he finished 2nd in the WPT Paris event in 2003.
Jan Boubli's Poker Strengths: Good temperament & plays extremely well out of position
Jan Boubli's Poker Weakness: Haven't spotted one yet
I first played with Jan Boubli during my World Poker Tour Paris trip. The first occasion happened midway through a €1000 Pot Limit Hold'em multi-table tournament. Originally I thought he was a loose fish, he would call pre-flop raises in late position and fold to bets or flat call to the turn and then fold. He appeared to be addicted to seeing a flop. I exited that tournament before he did but certainly left an impression on the table, VentureAce = Serial bluffer. When he sat at my table during the EPT Barcelona event, I wasn't overly concerned, I had no idea who he was and that he had some notable finishes to his name. After a few hours it was apparent that Jan Boubli was the class act at the table. He showed new aspects to his game, mixing up on all streets from all positions, it was one of the most impressive spells I've witnessed at a poker table. Evidently Boubli has a sound memory, when I tried running over the table he was having none of my semi-bluffing antics, making correct decisions with exemplary accuracy.
