My first taster of Patrik Antonius was at the final table of the EPT Barcelona 2005 event, he was sat to the right of my friend Anton Bergstroem. On that night, Antonius took the bull by the horns and obliterated Gus Hansen, completely out playing Hansen post flop. It was impressive to see an unkown (at the time) reduce Gus Hansen to a tilting monkey. He took 3rd place after running in to Jan Boubli (the eventual winner) who was being dealt monster hands every hand whilst they were playing 3-handed. Perhaps the biggest asset of Patrik Antonius are his model looks, Antonius could be marketed as a poker superstar and the potential endorsement earnings would easily surpass his poker winnings.
