Robert Cohen

Nicknamed ‘Le Dangereux’, Robert Cohen was a main character in the Late Night Poker series that aired in the UK. Most memorably for rattling Phil Hellmuth’s cage when the two were heads up in a qualifying heat. While Cohen came out on top of that battle, he has achieved little in the last few years with only a scattering of small pay outs to his name.

I first played with Robert Cohen in the Paris Open of Poker €200 event. He tried to engage in conversation with me in attempting to get a read, like Persues evading Medusa, I dared not look in to the eyes of an experienced poker player. His futile attempts were rebuffed and I sneaked through a bluff on that occasion. I knocked him out of the Paris Open of Poker main event with a bad beat. I do not regard him much of threat at the table, the only challenge is deciding which of the premium hands he is holding.
