Robert Williamson III is a professional poker player with numerous major tournament victories under his belt, including a World Series of Poker bracelet in the 2002 Pot Limit Omaha event. Pot limit Omaha is undoubtedly Williamson's speciality, shown by his ever presence at final tables. He finished 2nd in the 2005 WSOP $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha, resulting in the biggest poker earnings of his career, in excess of $350,000. His physical appearance has completely transformed as he has lost masses of weight over recent years.

I first encountered Robert Williamson when he burst through the doors of the private cash game room at the Aviation club de France. Throughout that evening playing, all usual poker room noise (chip stacking, card shuffling, player banter etc) was drowned out by Williamson's amplified voice and laughter. The crowning of all drowning came when he held a full on conversation with his wife who was at the other side of the sizeable room. "I love you honey bunny" is the last thing you expect to hear on the poker battlefront.
