Simon Trumper

Simon ‘Aces’ Trumper is a professional poker player from Guildford, Surrey in the UK. He has been many tournament victories to his name over the past decade, the biggest profiled being the Late Night Poker Series 2. His speciality is pot limit Omaha, which he excels in at nearly every tournament. He recently finished second in the Masters Classic of Poker in Amsterdam, he won the same event the year before.

Simon Trumper and I didn’t get on straight away. We were sat next to each other during the WPT Paris 2005 event, from the very first hand there were heated comments being exchanged. This stemmed back to the early stages of the Paris Open of Poker main event, where I mocked him after he falsely accused me of sucking out on him. Eventually we called a truce and he seemed a decent guy from there onwards. His desire to win is unmatched.
