Barny Boatman

Barny Boatman is one quarter of the Hendon Mob, a group of professional poker players from London, England. Barny, along with his brother Ross, starred in the Late Night Poker Series which spawned the UK poker boom. Barny Boatman plays exclusively on Full Tilt Poker, as the Hendon Mob is sponsored by Full Tilt. Boatman's biggest poker tournament success was a second place finish in the 2002 Pot Limit Hold'em event.

Barny Boatman moved to the seat on my left in the Midland Masters tournament in Walsall. His short stack shrank further after he limped under the gun and then called off his half of his chips on the flop, only to fold on the turn. I gave him a helpful hand and doubled him with 24 unsuited, after he had limped with Ace 9 of clubs in the small blind, I decided with bad timing to feast on his passive nature and put him all-in. I went out with 5 minutes left of day 1, he went on to finish 3rd in the event and earn around £50,000!
