VentureAce - Jeff Lisandro Profile

Jeff Lisandro

Jeff Lisandro - Poker Player

Jeff Lisandro can be described as 'big' in many ways; A big time high-stakes player and a big presence at the poker table. He has an eerily similar appearance to Tony Soprano. Lisandro's main claim to poker fame surmounts to the Harrahs WSOP circuit event in 2005. He walked away with the title and over $500,000 for his victory that day. The Italian / Aussie also went deep in the 2006 WSOP main event, eventually busting out in 17th position.

Jeff Lisandro's poker strengths: Good table presence and constantly pressurizing opponents

Jeff Lisandro's Poker weakness: Plays too many big pots

I didn't recognise Jeff Lisandro when he was sat directly opposite at the WPT Paris in 2005, though I was impressed with his commanding presence and aggressive raising on the button. His positional raises kept isolating Simon Trumper in a few hands, the most memorable being Trumper laying down pocket Queens face up, the board read J5J and Jeff Lisandro had made an aggressive all-in move. Every pot Lisandro played was a monster, this lead to his downfall as other opponents ran hot and he couldn't sustain losing such heavy losses. He didn't seem overly bothered by his tournament exit, I guess the high-stakes limit cash game he jumped in to comforted him. Jeff Lisandro just looked happy to be playing poker!
