The Fall

I began to change my game as I was no longer making a profit. My style of extremely tight play became loose, I wanted to advertise that I was playing rubbish cards. This worked for a short while when I made about $6,000 in a week but that was all dwindled away playing recklessly. At times I was out thinking myself in attempting to mislead my opponents. My play became very irrational and my profits and losses became a graphic mountain (up and down) but I was losing more than winning. Playing poker became an arduous task. My play became predictable and I could sense players had lost their respect for my game. It was like I was in a daze, and could not shake it off. I had to deposit a few times after losing my money. I took a break from poker for a few weeks and looked for a new pond to swim in.

Party!!!

On my break from poker, I decided to play poker, but this time in real life at the casino. It was fun anyway, not very successful but fun. It was a re-buy tournament, I didn't know the set-up of re-buy tournaments so I got knocked out quickly. Headed over to the roulette table with my friends. One of these guys is extremely wealthy, he was putting £500 on the same numbers every time. We went and played for most nights that week, he made around £6,000 and then lost half in 1 night. I made £400 but had lost £450 playing black jack earlier. It was a great week.

Anyway back to poker, I decided to search for a new site and I heard some guys talk about PartyPoker. This is the most popular poker site on the web. Apparently it can profitable for even the moderate player as there are over 65,000 people playing there at peak times. It does have some nice promotions and huge tournaments ($1,000,000 guaranteed at the end of every month and PartyPoker million onboard a luxury cruise ship) and you never have to wait around for a game.
